2011 #edtechbc Conference

An incredible weekend in shirtsleeves Vancouver with fantastic friends and colleagues exploring freeform, distributed radio on #ds106radio with marathon broadcasting from the #yvr Soundlab, top volume jams at Sanctuary Studios, a great run on #rsd11 performances and festivities, and talking education during the #edtechbc conference.

Managed to broadcast the closing panel /LIVE to – a great conversation facilitated by Paul Stacey with plenary members Avi Luxenburg, George Couros, Alec Couros, Chris Kennedy, and Sir John Daniel.

Grant, it’s urgent that you contact me ASAP. My Skype is gord.holden

Grant, this is John from Social Outcast. You broadcasted a couple songs from our rehearsal last Saturday night, May 14. How do I go about finding a flac or mp3 archive of the broadcast? I’ve searched all over the ds106 site but can’t find any reference to it at all. We are stoked to hear how it turned out!

    Hey John,

I hope to have a bunch of audio from the Saturday Sanctuary live broadcast online this week – I got a copy of ‘End of Radio’ from http://www.reverbnation.com/socialoutcast and put it on #ds106radio last night – I will put it in rotation this month.

Here’s a shot of you guys around the mic that night http://www.flickr.com/photos/grantpotter/5725378167/in/photostream

You guys killed it – thanks so much for playing live on #ds106radio – I’ll let you know when the audio archives are done.

Would love to profile your group on #ds106radio sometime – we could do it by phone or Skype – whatever works best for you. If you have a couple recordings you would like streamed online you can drop them to http://www.dropitto.me/ds106radio password: wejamecono

I don’t use Facebook but you can find out what’s going on with the station using Twitter here http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23ds106radio … the people involved in the station use Twitter for coordinating radio station stuff.

There will be a number of blog posts and things coming out about #ds106radio – I’ll make sure to drop you a line when they roll out so you can get more info on the station and your session. Again – “End of Radio” is killer.
