#ds106radio<\/a> got a full workout this week at OpenEducation 2011 with lots of \/LIVE broadcasts from keynotes, presentations, table discussions, and Canyons room radio shows.<\/p>\n

The #ds106radio Science Fair<\/a> was the first real applied flex of the PBX<\/a> with the radio.\u00a0 Brian<\/a> and I dialed into the PBX using Linphone<\/a> on a mobile which started the broadcast and “opened the lines” to callers via PBX and the #ds106radio<\/a> toll-free number.\u00a0 While waiting for callers, Brian and Chris Lott<\/a> dialed in and wandered around the conference as “#ds106radio roving reporters”.\u00a0\u00a0 The PBX effectively acted as an #opened11<\/a> ENG<\/a> – providing airtime for voices of folks on and off-site tuned into the #opened11<\/a> broadcasts and conference streams.\u00a0 It was great to hear random reports from the #opened11<\/a> floor as well as callers @qadmon<\/a>, @scottlo<\/a>, @DrGarcia<\/a>, @cogdog,<\/a> @giuliaforsythe<\/a>, and special guest ‘Scottie’.\u00a0 When callers were not on the line or roving reports out and about, the mobile dialed to the PBX served as as the Science Fair mic, picking up @brlamb<\/a>, @jimgroom<\/a>, and I as we talked radio, #ds106<\/a>, and a wide range of other topics for the afternoon with visitors.\u00a0 Great fun.<\/p>\nhttps:\/\/networkeffects.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/ds106radio-opened11-call-in-show.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n
