I attended Targeting Technology for Maximum Student Benefit<\/a>\u00a0Thursday, Feb 9 organized by the SFU Center for the Study of Educational Leadership<\/a><\/p>\n

The conference asked:<\/p>\n

The BC Education Plan<\/a> calls for \u201clearning\u00a0empowered by technology\u201d. How is this best\u00a0done? Which of the many possible uses of\u00a0technology should be given priority? How should\u00a0limited technology funding be used?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The day consisted of 3 presentations and a panel discussion with lots of time for people to discuss topics at tables. \u00a0I noticed that there was interest in the backchannel among educators who were unable to attend to listen in. \u00a0I decided to broadcast the audio to #ds106radio<\/a>\u00a0using my internal laptop mic and archive using Nicecast<\/a>. \u00a0 The sound in the room was not the best at times and I was sitting towards the back of the room so the audio is audible, but the fidelity isn’t great … a recording nonetheless. \u00a0I was not able to record the talk by Kris Magnusson, but I managed grab recordings of the other presentations.<\/p>\n
