The kids and I saw Tron Legacy in Halifax at the IMAX Theatre in 3D a few days ago.  One of the elements of the show they enjoyed the most and are still talking about was the surround sound system and Tron soundtrack – which just happens to be by Daft Punk.

Gabriel expressed and interest in creating his own Tron soundtrack so I spent an hour or so showing him the Korg IMS-20 synth.  I reviewed how to use the Kaos pad emulator and how to set synth patterns … an great afternoon of holiday robot funk ensued.
