Wii Smartboard

Last week I managed to play a little more with the configuration of a Wii-driven smartboard by integrating a third Wiimote for improved tracking ( thanks to Shauna for bringing in her extra Wiimotes! ).

Used in conjunction with GoogleEarth and Smart Notebook software, the Wii smartboard performed rather slick and it became readily apparent it could be of significant use in GIS and Geography classes.

Next steps will involve testing a few more pen designs, testing a few more Bluetooth stacks for plug’n’ play functionality, and doing the final installation of the Wiimotes in our Centre.  Looking forward to the next iteration of the Wii Smartboard project.
